Assure le bon fonctionnement des tâches documentaires de la section patrimoine Images & Sons (photos)
o Recherches d’images
o Indexation
o Support au Webmaster Médiathèque olympique
Chaque employé est responsable du bon fonctionnement de son département/unité/section et de la mise à jour de ses compétences dans le cadre de la politique de formation du CIO.
Par ailleurs, des responsabilités d’une autre nature que celles requises par la fonction peuvent être imposées à chacun en fonction de circonstances particulières.

Principales responsabilités

Acquisitions et catalogage

Réception, contrôle et conditionnement des nouvelles acquisitions.

Sélection pour numérisation.

Transmission du matériel à la personne responsable de la conservation / restauration.

Mise à jour des tableaux de bord.

Traitement documentaire des événements du MO, CIO, CNO et SO.

Recherche

Recherches de photographies pour clients internes/externes dans la base documentaire.

Administration des sites intranet et extranet de la Médiathèque olympique (TOML) :

Remplacement du webmaster durant son absence :

Administre les comptes d’accès au site et gère la base de données des utilisateurs en fonction des règles d’approbation fournies par les départements du CIO.

Prépare et publie les dossiers thématiques dits « Thèmes CIO » en fonction de l’actualité et des événements du CIO.

Formation, compétences linguistiques et informatiques

Spécialiste HES en information et documentation ou formation équivalente.

Connaissances de la typologie des supports photographiques.

Connaissances du Mouvement olympique et du CIO.

Langues : français (langue maternelle) et anglais (niveau avancé).

Parfaite maîtrise des logiciels informatiques MS et outils de gestion.

Aisance dans la gestion du travail en équipe, tant dans la manière de gérer le flux des dossiers que dans la façon de communiquer avec ses collègues.

Savoir-faire et savoir-vivre reconnus et appréciés dans les contacts avec les clients.



Compétences techniques, organisationnelles et personnelles

Autonomie et sens de l’organisation et des priorités, avec maîtrise de l’imprévu et flexibilité.

The Office of Communications at UNDP is at the forefront of advancing online communications and outreach within the organization and is seeking a graduate student with an interest in developing institutional archives with a focus on processing, cataloging, and curating the physical and digital photographic assets of UNDP.


Duties and Responsibilities
The interested candidate will:
  • Assist the Communications team in the classification of photographic slides from 1950 to 2000;
  • Verify and cross-checking metadata;
  • Assist the Photo Editor in creating consistent metadata records;
  • Edit/re-touch images when necessary;
  • Ensure consistent filing and labeling, apply preservation criteria to individual assets;
  • Make recommendation for publishing photos on social media and web;
  • Assist with other related tasks as needed.


Competencies
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task;
  • Basic Photoshop/Illustrator skills;
  • Advanced knowledge of metadata;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Responsible, responsive, and enthusiastic;
  • Interest in global issues and the United Nations;
  • Must be able to work in a multi-cultural environment and be aware of political sensitivities.


Required Skills and Experience
Education:
  • Enrollment in a graduate degree programme in development, communications, public or business administration, information management, digital photography, or related fields preferred.
Experience:
  • Experience with digital archives and photography is a must;
  • Web experience is an asset.
Language:
  • Fluency in written and spoken English (Additional knowledge of French/Spanish is of benefit).
Availability:
  • Must be available at least three days per week.
Conditions:
  • Interns are considered gratis personnel. They are not staff members;
  • Interns are not financially remunerated by UNDP. The costs associated must be borne by the nominating institution, related institution or government, which may provide the required financial assistance to its students; or by the student, who will have to obtain financing for subsistence and make his or her own arrangements for travel, accommodation, visa, etc.
The successful candidate will be required to:
  • Bring a certificate from her school that s/he is enrolled in a Master's programme;
  • Have a valid visa to work in the US;
  • Have medical and life insurance.

  • All the expenses connected with the internship will be borne by the intern, sponsoring Government or institution;

  • The intern is responsible for obtaining necessary visas and arranging travel to and from the duty station where the internship will be performed;
  • Interns are not eligible to apply for, or be appointed to, any post in UNDP during the period of the internship or for six months immediately following the expiration date of internship;
  • The intern must provide proof of enrollment in health insurance plan;
  • Interns are not staff members and may not represent UNDP in any official capacity;

Mission
· La mission s’inscrit au sein du programme de sauvegarde, de numérisation et de
modernisation de la gestion du patrimoine culturel du CIO, Programme « PAM – Patrimonial
Assets Management ».
· La mission consiste à assurer les tâches de catalogage et d’indexation du fonds
photographique dans le système informatique de gestion des médias numériques. Le résultat
attendu doit permettre une documentation pérenne des fonds et faciliter les recherches et la
diffusion des médias.
Principales responsabilités et tâches clés
· Cataloguer et indexer le fonds photographique du CIO dans le cadre du programme PAM.
o Les images à documenter retracent l’histoire des Jeux Olympiques de 1900 à nos
jours. La documentation porte principalement sur les images des Jeux olympiques,
les activités institutionnelles, les activités du Mouvement Olympique et du Musée
Olympique.
· Utiliser un vocabulaire contrôlé (thésaurus, listes) pour assister la tâche de documentation
des photos et garantir la qualité de la documentation. Être force de proposition dans
l’amélioration de la qualité du vocabulaire et des règles d’indexation
· Participer aux tests fonctionnels organisés à l’occasion de l’implémentation des nouvelles
versions de l’application de gestion des photos
· Participer à la correction des notices documentaires des médias migrées de l’ancien vers le
nouveau système informatique.
· Rendre compte de l’avancement des travaux au responsable d’équipe dans une logique de
suivi de la qualité et de respect de la productivité.

Formation et expérience
· Diplôme en information et documentation (HEG-ID/CESID) ou expérience équivalente.
· Expérience professionnelle dans un service d’archives photographiques.
· Langues : français et anglais (niveau Advanced).
· Maîtrise de l’informatique et des logiciels de gestion des médias numériques.
· Aisance avec les systèmes d’information en général
· Connaissance du sport et de l’Olympisme en particulier.
